How to say & pronounce AllĂ©gro:

a-lay-GROH

What does AllĂ©gro translate to?

Brisk or lively.
In ballet, allĂ©gro is a term applied to bright, fast or brisk steps and movement.  All steps where the dancer jumps are considered allĂ©gro, such as sautĂ©s, jetĂ©s, cabrioles, assemblĂ©s, and so on.
