Cutting Your Recipes in Half

Hi, everyone! I know I have not posted these past few days, but I am still doing a series on beginning pointe. Then, I promise, I will do lots of baking! This is a great video on sewing your ribbons and elastics.

Dazzling Sparkling Sugar

Ingredients

  • Sugar
  • Liquid or gel food coloring
  • Tin foil
  • Sifter
  • Ziploc bag

I have seen this idea on Pinterest and I am totally going to start using sparkling sugar.

Instructions
Preheat oven 250 degrees
  1. Take your sugar and measure out how ever much you need. Then, put a few drops of food coloring and massage/shake it in to the sugar.
  2. Using your tin foil make a tent and place your sugar in it. Put in the oven.
  3. Bake for 8 minutes or until crystals start to melt.
  4. Sift before using.

I hope you had fun making this! I would love to see your use of your sparkling sugar.💙

How's it going? This is a work out that I did before I went on pointe. I still do this workout. I know I am still beginner, but I really want to share what I do know and what I learn. ðŸ˜ŠðŸ’™

Hi, everyone! Today I want to go over some great exercises with resistance bands. Now, you can purchase these at Walmart or online. They are a great way to gain ankle strength if you are starting pointe or just want to try them out. 😊

1.  Take your band and put it on the ball of your foot, to where it is covering your toes. Then, pointe your toes and flex. Let's do this 15x on each foot.

2.  Take your band a tie it a little below your knees.
Pull your knees in and out. Do that 10x.

3. Wrap the band around your ankle. Stand in Arabesque, hold it tightly, and pulse up and down. Try to reach your leg as high as it can go!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Are you feeling the burn yet? We have started to use resistance bands before barre in class. I can tell you I feel very sore in the morning.  Please comment with any question or thought you have. 💜😊

This post will also be under my Ballet page!)
